ইক্বরার উদ্দেশ্য হলো কুরআনের বাণীর উত্তরোত্তর সমৃদ্ধ অনুধাবনের জন্য টেকসই ভিত্তি প্রস্তুত করা এবং জীবন ও সমাজের প্রায়োগিকতার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় জ্ঞানভিত্তিক ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক বা কাঠামো নির্মাণ।

Most people assume that various words used in the Quran about the holy book are simply synonyms. However, Dr. Shahrour clarifies that each of the words used in fact refers to something specific and cannot be used interchangeably. The Book is different from the Quran, which in turn is different from The Criterion (‘Al-Furqan’), The Preserved Tablet (‘Lawh Mahfouz’), The Clear Record (‘Imam Mubeen’), and The Recited-form (Zikr).
Muhammad Shahrour (11 April 1938 – 21 December 2019) was a Syrian philosopher and author. He was an Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Damascus who wrote extensively about Islam. He referred to the book of the Islamic prophet Muhammad as "The Book", not the Quran; which casts him in direct contradiction with other Islamic thinkers and traditional scholars. Yet similar to Quraniyoon Muslims, he did not consider Hadith as a divine source.

এতিম প্রসঙ্গটি ইসলামের মূল্যবোধের সাথে ওতোপ্রোতভাবে জড়িত। আসুন একটি তুলনা করা যাক কুরআনে এতিমদের প্রতি কি আচরন করার কথা আর আমাদের সমাজে, ধর্মের নামেই আমরা কি আচরণ করে থাকি
এতিমদের অধিকার রক্ষায় কুরআন ও হাদিসের অনেক জায়গায় সতর্কবাণী উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। পবিত্র কুরআনে বলা হয়েছে, এতিমের ধন-সম্পত্তি তার কাছে পৌঁছে দাও। আর এর অর্থ হচ্ছে সে বালেগ হলেই কেবল তার কাছে তার গচ্ছিত মালামাল পৌঁছে দেয়া যেতে পারে।
কোরআনের আক্ষরিকতাই আদতে শব্দের ঐতিহাসিক সীমা। কোরআনের সত্যান্বেষী পাঠককে তাই শব্দের আরো বহু ঠিকানা খুঁজে নেয়ার সাধনা করতে হয়।
